I am a cell biologist dedicated to exploring fundamental biological questions that bridge the gap between basic discovery and biomedical advancement. Currently, my research program investigates the complex networks of proteins, lipids, and metabolites that function as the cell's biochemical switches, clocks, and information-processing circuitry. Working at the intersection of biochemistry, structural cell biology, and molecular neurobiology, I aim to uncover how the dysfunction of these intricate processes drives disease development.

I earned my PhD at the University of Toronto under the supervision of Dr. Jeffrey Lee, where my doctoral work elucidated the molecular basis of sperm and egg recognition during mammalian fertilization. Following this, I joined the laboratory of Dr. Adam Frost at the University of California, San Francisco (UCSF) as a postdoctoral fellow. There, I leveraged cryo-electron microscopy technologies to characterize the conserved mechanisms that regulate organelle dynamics and function, providing a structural framework for understanding cellular homeostasis.
