I am an Assistant Professor in the Department of Molecular Pathobiology at New York University. I am interested in studying fundamental cell biology questions to advance biomedical knowledge and understand how the dysfunction of biological processes contributes to disease development. I received my PhD with Jeffrey Lee in Biochemistry at the University of Toronto in Canada. My graduate work defined the molecular basis of sperm and egg recognition during mammalian fertilization. As a postdoctoral fellow in the laboratory of Adam Frost at the University of California, San Francisco (UCSF), my research focused on organelle dynamics and function. Before joining NYU in 2025, I was an Assistant Professor and Boettcher Investigator at the University of Colorado Boulder.
